Visited Josh in Dublin last weekend

I was able to see Josh for two hours each day last weekend, which was great. He looks good and is trying to keep up his spirits. He is feeling pretty discouraged as it looks most likely that he will be in jail until the Grand Jury ends, which is supposed to be July, 2007. With the holidays coming he is especially feeling the isolation and he would really appreciate people writing to him so he can correspond with others. He has very limited phone minutes, so when I speak with him, it is mostly to write down what he needs me to do to keep his case in the public’s eye. I will be going up to the Bay Area on November 9 to attend the dinner and awards put on by the Northern California Society for Professional Journalists. Josh is sharing the Journalist of the Year award with the two Chronicle Reporters. We had, of course, hoped he would be there to accept in person, but he is mailing a very short acceptance speech that I will read. Then I will be able to visit Josh on Friday, because it is a national holiday and on Saturday, before returning home to finish report cards. We have some awesome T-shirts coming out soon thanks to Amy’s creativity and endless patience. You will be able to buy them at benefits, maybe local Bay Area stores and through the web site. If any of you would like to host a benefit to help raise both money and awareness, please let me know. Thanks so much for all of your prayers and support, emotionally and financially. Yours, Liz
