Horoscopes...: quietirony — LiveJournal
I've always felt that astrology has some validity to it. Surely not all horocopes out there are going to be legit at all, but every once in a while my horoscope strikes with dead-on accuracy. Back when I first started dating Elaine, I read a description of the relationship between two Gemini's and a lot of it bore true during the course of our relationship.
Now, I can't read my horoscope without thinking of my ex-girlfriend. I sit there and wonder whether it applies to me, her, or both of us. It's silly I know, but today I was perusing the SF Weekly and came across our horoscope and it seemed to fit me pretty well, but I'm sure Elaine would think it described her with even more intimate detail. I'll have to call her up and read it to her tomorrow, but tonight I'll share it with all of you...
"Can you be a dissatisfied rebel and exuberant lover of life at the same time? Can you identify all the things that wrong without losing your bemused tolerance? I think you can, especially this week. You won't have any role models to draw from, though, so you'll have to trust your intuition and the following advice: be a happy bitch! A playful protestor! A sweet-tempered complainer! The goodies will come to you if you overthrow the status quo with inventiveness and compassion"
In other news, I bought a dresser today at IKEA. I was goin to pick up two bed-side tables as well, but when I went downstairs to find them, they were out of stock. Oh well... The dresser actually works perfectly for what I needed it for, but I think it's designed as a kids dresser it's not all too deep, and I can't imagine putting anything but socks & underwear in it...
