A 2-day Reprieve

Posted by Insurgent in Uncategorized

Great news guys! We filed an emergency motion to ask for two more days so that I can take care of some unfinished business before turning myself in, and the judges granted it! This means I have two more days of freedom, and that I will get to speak at my benefit – which is below this entry.

I hope to see some of you there…

Has this been covered nationally AT ALL? I can’t believe I didn’t see this in the NY Times or on tv. Props to No One’s Listening, and good luck.

Today is really ironic. I just saw the, Josh Wolf videos last night and was shocked. Then I go back to several administration speeches and realize our rights aren’t being up held. I am adding this comment in my web design class. Ironicly instead of standing for the plege the preamble was read to us. Today we are supposed to give thanks that we in America are protected by the consitution, and to hear your story is most troubling that our government has forgotten about the bill of rights, and lie to us about how were protected by it. What has happened to you and many other U.S. citizens needs to be publicized. The government needs to be reminded about the bill of rights.

    Josh isn’t a journalist.

He’s an activist. He was PART of the protest.

    Nice try though.

Actually, Aaron, Josh was there recording as a journalist. There have been protests where he was there as a protestor and also filming, but in this case, he was there recording what happened. Many times, he has been asked by various groups to go to protests and document. When cameras are rolling, there is less likely to be police brutality against protestors and if there is, there is also documentation, as there is in Josh’s video when the policeman is pretty much strangling Gabe Myers, who is not being charged with felongy lynching, because by trying to say “help me” before he would have been chocked unconscious, he is accused of trying to free himself from custody.

In rereading my comment, the “not being charged” was supposed to be “now being charged.”
