Keep an Ex-Worker Employeed

Posted by Insurgent in Uncategorized

First off, I’d like to thank everyone for leaving comments on my last post, it was a lot of fun getting to enter a dialogue with you and the comments really are appreciated. This week is videoblogging week and this year’s theme is vlogging dangerously, the perfect theme if you ask me… so every day this week I will be posting a new video. I think I’m supposed to stick to the theme, but honestly, I think vlogging dangerously is enough of a steady meme for me that there isn’t much need to focus on the theme throughout the week.

One video a day will be hard enough either way. So look for a video post from me later today, but in the meantime take a gander at Talking to Fish, the Sightspeed videoblog which is maintained by Peter Zottolo.

Today Peter writes:

Please Save This Idiot: This is all in jeapordy now, due to sketchy viewership, which is probably due to my obvious suckiness, but the point is this: if I don’t qualify my time spent doing this, then I’ll have to return to what I was doing before here at SightSpeed – tech support, billing, and shipping. Not that those jobs are inherently bad, it’s just…this job is so not suck, that it would suck to go back.

I firmly believe that people shouldn’t have to work doing jobs they don’t like. In the tradition of CrimethInc, Peter is an ex-worker in that he is fortunate enough to have departed from this unfotunate fate, and all we have to do is tune in to keep his company paying him to do exactly what he wants to do. C’mon… it’s easy. Go ahead and have a look, and if you like what you see, subscribe to his RSS feed, what an easy way to save someone from the wage-slave…

Man…I’m speechless. Thanks for helping me avoid the wage-slave. I am so your best friend now.

I feel like an empty room, but eh. Nothing seems worth doing. I haven’t gotten much done today.
